Set a base minimum stay
A short minimum fills gaps; a longer one cuts turnovers and cleaning. Pick a default that suits your area and the guests it draws.
Raise it for peak dates
Over the busiest weeks, a longer minimum stops one short booking blocking a whole week of demand.
Lower it to fill gaps
A two or three night gap between bookings rarely sells at your normal minimum. Allow shorter stays into those gaps.
Use discounts for longer stays
Weekly and monthly discounts attract longer bookings when the calendar is quiet. Check they still cover your cleaning and running costs.
Block owner stays early
If you use the home yourself, block those dates first so they are never sold, and never cancelled on a guest.
Keep every calendar in sync
If the home is on more than one platform, one calendar must feed them all. A double booking means a cancellation, and cancellations hurt your listing.
